A few months ago, I did a review on Cocozia’s 100% organic coconut water and was highly impressed with the product. So when the company contacted me about reviewing their *chocolate* coconut water, I was all in.
Ingredients: organic coconut water, water, organic coconut milk, organic cane sugar, organic cocoa powder, organic guar gum, and salt
Nutrition: 60 calories (per 8 fl oz, 2 servings per bottle), 0.5 g fat, 13 g sugar
The taste: SO GOOD. It tastes like really refreshing chocolate milk! It doesn’t leave you with the thirst that regular milk does and instead leaves you feeling hydrated. So with 12 huge bottles, I decided to make a smoothie!
Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
- 1 bottle Cocozia chocolate coconut water
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 Tbs peanut butter (of your choice)
- 2 Tbs ground flax seed
Pour all ingredients into a blender.
Blend until smooth, and pour into two glasses.
YUM! This smoothie is the perfect healthy dessert or post workout fuel.
There is a little more sugar than I prefer in a drink, but if you stick to the serving size (half a bottle) then it’s not too shabby. Enjoy! 🙂
